Purpose of this Website
KUNGONI.ORG presents the cultural, artistic and community work of Kungoni Centre, Mua Mission, Malawi, on a not-for-profit, informational basis.
Copyright
Unless otherwise credited, text, photographs and artwork reproduced on this website are the property of Kungoni Centre and its named contributors (including Claude Boucher Chisale, Richard Hewitt, Samson Phiri, Alisoun Probert, Serge St-Arneault and Arjen van de Merwe) and may not be reproduced without permission. External Links
This website keeps outbound references to other websites to a minimum. Where a page names or links to a third-party website (for example, partner organisations, publishers, or a Google Maps location), that content is not loaded automatically and belongs to, and remains the responsibility of, its respective owner. Kungoni Centre has no control over and accepts no liability for the content of external websites linked from these pages.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies, third-party analytics or advertising trackers. Pages do not set cookies simply by being visited. Links to external services (such as YouTube or Google Maps) are plain links that only take you to the third-party site if you click them — nothing is loaded from those services on this site itself.
The only exception is the staff intranet login (intranet.php), which sets a single strictly-necessary session cookie so that authorised staff can stay logged in. This cookie is essential to that login function, is not used for tracking or advertising, and is not set for ordinary visitors browsing the public site.
This site keeps a basic, self-hosted count of page views and document downloads, used only to see which pages are useful. It runs entirely on our own server, sets no cookie, and shares no data with any third party.
As part of this, and as standard practice for the operation and administration of any web server (for example, to investigate abuse or technical problems), the server records the IP address of each visit together with the page or file requested and an approximate country derived from that address using an offline, self-hosted lookup — no visitor data is sent to any external service to do this. Individual IP address records are kept for a limited time (currently 90 days) and are then deleted automatically; aggregate, non-identifying counts (such as total page views) are kept longer for site statistics. This information is used solely for the operation, security and administration of this website. It is never sold, rented or given to any third party, and is not used for advertising or profiling.
Liability
The information on this website is provided in good faith and for general informational purposes only. While every effort is made to keep it accurate and up to date, Kungoni Centre makes no warranty as to its completeness, accuracy or reliability, and accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from its use.
Governing Law
