Text Box: A selection of traditional dances from the Chewa, Ngoni, Matengo and Yao cultures is available on request. Researched and recreated by the Centre, these dances are performed in traditional regalia, making the performances authentic and true to custom. The audience receives an interpretation of the history and meaning of each presentation. The Kungoni performers are local people, many of them working at the Centre in other capacities as well. The dancers are all husband and wife teams, this intimacy being reflected in the nature of many of the dances.
