Text Box: We offer cultural courses for those who wish to know more about traditional Malawian culture and life styles. Participants will come to better understand the local culture through the teaching of Fr Claude Boucher Chisale and other staff members of Kungoni. The course includes visits to the museum, videos and group participation. 

Subjects discussed in the course includes: the history of Central and Southern Malawi, arrival of major tribal groups, the structure of the family, interpersonal relationships, village organisation, chieftainship, and major milestones and rites of passage of every individual’s life from birth to death. Emphasis is placed on the Chewa spiritual and world view and how this influences and impacts on contemporary events and daily life.
